Dear All,
It was a laugh-a-minute affair!
I feel young again just sitting beside Adrian and Ramesh..
Given this momentous meeting, I thought it would be fitting to set up our own blog to record this fantastic occasion for posterity. Also, this new "repository" (remember this word we used for Vasenwala, Ramesh?) can now be used to do all of, but not limited to, the following:
1. give Adrian a safe digitalized site to deposit all his treasured antiques (Hoshin, SR Rating Criteria, etc) before the cockcroaches in his house make a meal of them. (Adrian, please return that stolen file back to HR lah..)
2. drop our old photos here, incriminating ones or otherwise
3. detect and report the "lost-and-found" - eg.. Mathia in Cairo's Tahrir Square on a horse
4. spout all the old tales, like one particular DM's smelly old-socks-on-tables (in this site, you can settle all IOUs or old scores..)
5. add Gollum-like phrases and words to Wikepidia like, "is he quota-carrying or not?" or "POs from VARs are also commisionable, right?" or "FTS"..
and of course, record the minutes of OBG-meetings, using photos like the 7 from Pat, below.
You are all authors (accept the e-invites coming to you soon), so please contribute to this precious "OBG-OldiesButGoodies" blog about us, for us. Cheers everyone, and thanks Pat and ChinHu for kicking this off to a wonderful start!
Hey George, this is so cool...what a great way to capture precious moments :)
ReplyDeleteWow, George now the geek, blogging!!?? ... I remember when we worked for him 24 years ago, he needed to write email on A4 paper and get Nancy to type it...and sometimes those that stay past 6pm...unfortunately me once or twice.
ReplyDeleteThis is great, Glee! I think we should also start a "Glossary of Terms" from our time. Terms like "drop-ship, Blue Bird, washing machine, HB-IB, "FTS" are worth documenting for posterity while we all have our memories! Can you suggest how we may contribute to a list with definitions on this blog?
ReplyDeleteMel..Nancy was not typing for me lah..she was proof-reading..my england sucks!
ReplyDeleteUnknown..yes, "Glossary of Terms"..great idea. Will ask IT Dept to set it up..or maybe an SE.
